Resort Skills

Our resort camp is grounded in our personal style of coaching; a blend of physical and mental techniques that approaches skiing holistically AND effectively. After breaking into groups based on experience level, we spend two days on Revelstoke Mountain Resort deep-diving into skiing foundations, while giving personalized feedback to fine-tune your specific areas of improvement. Over these two days we will ski a variety of terrain, have lots of chair lift laughs, and gather for a meal both days.

Backcountry Touring

We know that the backcountry can be a challenging place to find our footing, which is why we have five different camps specifically tailored to different levels of ability.  These camps, which are led by our qualified ACMG guides, range from bringing people out in the backcountry for their very first time, to providing mentorship for women+ working towards their own career in guiding. Each camp will go over avalanche skills, provide you with in field education, and lend the opportunity for mentorship. To learn more about which course suits you, click here.

Backcountry Education

At Girls Do Ski we understand that creating well rounded, confident skiers means mixing the hard skills with the soft skills. We currently offer two-day courses in Ropes and Navigation.

Ropes focuses on the skills needed to safely travel through glaciated terrain, and to help a friend if they are in need. The first day you will be…learning the ropes (systems)…likely somewhere around town. On the second day you will be heading out into the field and putting these new skills into practice. *Note, we won’t be visiting a glacier in the course, but dialing in the skills on safer terrain.

Navigation will prepare you to groove through your travels armed with a traditional map & compass, as well as inform you on how to use apps such as FATMAPS and GAIA to plan your adventures. In this course, you will gain the   knowledge to know WHERE you are, WHERE you’re going, and what the terrain looks like ahead of you.
